This photo of the left front quarter of the machine shows its flat-top design with recessed but visible ribbon spools, the paper bail with two rubber rollers, the Royal logo on the paper table and the right front of the case (with Portable beneath it), the left-hand carriage return, and the red crinkle paint. There are two platen twirlers. The keys are bright metal rimmed, with white background and black letters. The ribbon color selector is on the left front of the case.
